Wedding Day 5k!

Hello?

Is this thing on?

Kenny & Jessica proudly (and somewhat naively) announce that they will be holding and participating in their first Wedding Day 5k, around their neighborhood and downtown Williamsburg on Saturday, May 22nd, at [early time] a.m. Once we find out if anyone is actually interested in joining us on a pre-celebratory jaunt around town, we'll decide what time we all want to meet. A boom box has been promised-- there will be motivational tunes! Bring your shorts and sneakers.

A post about gifts...

Our invitation says that we would most appreciate a gift of funds for our someday dreams. If this doesn't suit you, and you'd rather bring along something a bit more tangible, here are some ideas!

- check out our small registry at Bed, Bath & Beyond (just basic kitchen things here; we are lucky to already have lots of stuff)
- we would LOVE gift cards for Trader Joe's! Grocery shopping... does it ever get old? No!
- any bottle of wine that you think we might enjoy. We have been thinking about collecting a few bottles to have on hand.

To be honest, just your presence at our wedding is present enough. But if you like to give, we'd be honored to receive.

Six weeks to go!

Hello from wedding planning headquarters! We're in the midst of locking in our ideas for food, venues, and stuff like that. Now that we're both in the same town, it's easier to go together to appointments and all of the other random things that come with planning a wedding (its our first time, you see, and we're a little awkward).

But we can assure you this-- it's going to be a ton of fun!

Comfort Suites Bypass (brand new): (757) 645-4646. $79 + tax/night for two people, 2 queens or 1 king. Each additional person +$5. Group rate good until May 7.
Days Inn: (757) 229-5060 $78/night, 2 doubles or 1 queen. Group rate until April 20.
Sleep Inn Historic (757) 259-1700. $75 + tax / night . Group rate good until May 1.
Country Hearth Inn (a bit sketchy): (757) 229-5215 $52/night. 2 queens, up to 4 people.

There is also a KOA campground very close to York River State Park, with cabins for rent (BYO linens. $65/night for up to 4 people; $90/night for up to 6 people) and tent sites ($37/night).

Williamsburg has plenty of cute Bed & Breakfasts, too. Just do an online search and see what you can find!
